YOU NEED AN AMAZING HYDRATING MIST IN YOUR SUMMER ROUTINE… LIKE YESTERDAY

Toning Mists are a guilty pleasure, I adore them. Some offer unbelievable sensory experiences, others are juicy with active ingredients. They tend to be free of exfoliating properties, instead focusing on nourishing and hydrating. They’re basically a toner.

Often I refer to Toning Mists as toners, the term is interchangeable IMO. Toning Mists are a type of toner.

Okay and real quick, can we clear the air?

When I say need I mean….heavily want.  By no means are these “necessary” essential products for your routine, I just think they’re lovely additions.

I think most of us OVER-exfoliate, which adds fuel to my mist loving fire…. more reason to keep one handy!

Instead of adding another product that exfoliates, why not use one that feeds your skin?

Or you could even use an exfoliating toner and spritz with a mist afterward! So many options.

So, last summer I shared my favorite sunscreens for the season.

now I’m sharing my fave toning mists

Board and Batten Calming Lift

A few months ago at Indie Beauty Expo I was shopping around for a nice, lush hydrating toning mist and found Calming Lift. A lovely rose water base mixed with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. Leaves skin feeling hydrated and the niacinamide is a nice addition to see in the ingredient deck. You can find Calming Lift ($30) on Amazon, the seller is a legit store… I checked!

Kerstin Florian Rehydrating Neroli Water

On the note about sensory experiences… I freakin’ LOVE neroli. My most recent neroli purchase was Jo Malone’s Basil & Neroli… omg, so good. It’ll be perfect for fall/winter.

When we were in Idaho, I visited the spa and picked up a mini of this Kerstin Florian spray. Rehydrating Neroli Water ($35) is just a simple neroli flower water mist, but y’all it is gorgeousssssss. It kept my skin well hydrated the entire weekend after flying combined with winter air. I was using it heavily, almost finished the travel size over a few days! A full-size neroli water is on my current “to buy” list.

Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner

The first professional line I ever worked with was Dermalogica. When their PR company reached out to me it jogged my memory! I had actually forgotten I’d ever worked with the products. It seems like such a distant memory now, it’s kinda crazy.

I’ve always liked Dermalogica, they have several great products and they’re affordable. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve loved being re-acquainted with soothing Multi-Active Toner ($39). Feeling more like a traditional toner, Multi-Active Toner is a wetter, heavier mist loaded with moisture-binding sodium PCA, aloe, lavender, and arnica… very yummy and keeps skin hydrated.

Darphin Intral Toner

When I hear the words French Beauty I immediately think Darphin. This is another PR sample I’m loving! The beautiful aromas, the lush formulas, this is your splurge toner for sensitive skin or anyone looking for nourishment. Intral Toner ($42) is a soothing and hydrating, reduces redness, and feeds the skin with calming ingredients like chamomile and B vitamins. Don’t forget your esthetic facial wipes! Gotta get every last drop, you know?

honorable mentions

When it comes to exfoliating toners my two favorites are Biologique Recherche P50 and Hydropeptide Pre-Treatment Toner. Both leave skin bright and glowing, although P50 is far stronger for exfoliating.

Two Toning Mists on my wishlist at the moment? May Lindstrom The Jasmine Garden and Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator.

Any must have Toning Mist you’ve tried?? Comment below so I can have it on my radar! Always adding to my wishlist, you know? xx
